School Union 93 serves the towns of Blue Hill, Brooksville, Castine, Penobscot, and Surry by providing administrative leadership and support for their public PreK–8 schools.

While each town maintains its own school, budget, staff, and elected school board, they collectively share a central office and Superintendent to promote efficient and consistent educational oversight across the Union.

Each local school board holds regular monthly public meetings with the Superintendent, typically hosted at the individual schools. Meeting Agendas are posted on this website, and Official Minutes are made available following each meeting. In addition to individual board meetings, the five boards convene jointly several times a year to address union-wide policies and initiatives.

As Union 93 does not operate a public high school, each town arranges tuition agreements with state-approved high schools throughout the state, allowing students to attend the school that best fits their needs.
